One of the best ways to enjoy and relax this summer is visiting water parks. Imagine yourself in one of them as you plunge on its waters as you try to cool off the summer heat. It will surely be a relaxing experience top with fun and good memories. Water Parks are more than just water pools, they house many kinds of attractions that will surely keep you coming for more.
Here, I list the top ten water parks in 2017 in case you want to go to one of them. This way, you will enjoy the most on your trip.
1 ) Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon – Orlando, FL
This water park houses the largest outdoor wave pool in the world and is also the most visited park. Your trip here is absolutely worth it. The park’s theme is based on a typhoon that caused havoc upon a former tropical haven. The park also comes with a lot of water slides, an exclusive are for kids, and a lot more. 2 ) Water World – Denver, CO
Just by the name of it, you can imagine a world full of water fun. Being one of America’s largest family waterparks, Water World boast over 44 attractions to keep you busy for the entire day. This exciting park houses different kinds of water slides of which will give a different experience on every slide you take. The place also has plenty of restaurants that serve different kinds of food to satisfy hungry audiences. If you are not a fan of the water too much, you can still have a nice break in one of their many shaded areas that are topped with picnic tables as well as grass picnic areas.
3 ) SplashTown Waterpark – San Antonio, TX
This park features 40-acres and over 2 million gallons of water fun. Being one of Houston’s largest and most diverse water parks, SplashTown Offers spectacular water adventures with tons of river rides and thrilling slides that will have you coming for more.
4 ) Wet ‘n Wild – Greensboro, North Carolina
If you happen to be in North Carolina, do not forget to visit this water park. Wet’n Wild offers more than 36 rides and attractions for everyone. From its famous Dragon’s Den up to its Daredevil Drop, this park continues to give the whole family a great time. Even your little ones can enjoy here, as they got a place called ‘Happy Harbor’ dedicated for small children. This water park from California packs thrilling high-speed slides and attractions catered for the whole family. You can also try out Raging Waters from 2 other locations: one at Sacramento and the other is at San Dimas.
6 ) Schlitterbahn Waterpark – New Braunfel,TX
There are 3 Schlitterbahn Water Parks located in Texas. The one in New Braunfel is my pick as it offers over 65-acres of pure entertainment including 17 gorgeous water slides, 3 miles of tubing fun, 7 water playgrounds for children, 3 uphill water coasters, a lazy river and a lot more. The whole family will be busy throughout the entire day as the park offers many engaging activities especially designed for them. Like most of the water parks, this place also has plenty of shaded areas for you to relax.
7 ) Noah’s Ark – Wisconsin’s Dells
One of the Largest Water parks in America, Noah’s Ark is filled with 41 waterslides, 2 endless rivers, 2 large wave pools, 4 water play areas for children, a Paradise Lagoon activity pool, and a lot more. You can also visit the arcade if you want to play some games. This park also has an 18-hole mini golf course for golf-lovers out there. This park continues to surprise me as they continually add more things and features. With that I am sure you will agree with me that this park deserves a place in the top 10 list of awesome water parks.
8 ) White Water – Atlanta, GA
If you are looking for water fun and thrill at the same time. Try out White Water’s ‘The Cliffhanger’, one of the world’s tallest freefalls, the ‘Tornado’ and have a ride with the ultimate storm or take up the a very long tunnel ride with Run-a-Way River. You will surely love them especially the last ride, it is one of the longest ride in the park that is filled with tons of surprises that will leave riders wanting for more.
9 ) Dollywood’s Splash Country – Pigeon Forge, TN
Dollywood’s Splash country features over 23 water slides and thrilling rides. The place also houses a 25,000 square-foot wave pool, a lazy river with cascading waterfall, and a lot more. This place like the previous parks I mentioned will really give you a fun time and will leave you with satisfied and wanting for more.
10) Kahuna Laguna, North Conway, NH
This tropical water park offers tons of adventure ranging from its 4 high-speed tubes to its unique water basketball court, the whole family will surely enjoy. The place also has a family fun center where you can play the latest arcade games available.
